Advanced rimap® Workshop 2025: ERM, Sustainability, and Supply Chain

In today’s evolving economic climate, sustainability in supply chains has become critical for efficient risk management, business continuity, and resilience. Simultaneously, sustainability-related legislative developments are accelerating, and customers are demanding more sustainable goods and services. These shifts drive companies to re-evaluate their approaches, policies, processes, and strategies for ERM and sustainability.

The 2025 workshop will feature a Harvard case study selected for in-depth analysis, debate, and presentation to a simulated Board of Directors. This case study focuses on the integration of sustainability within supply chains, evaluated through the lens of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).

This advanced rimap® workshop is a virtual, interactive learning event designed to refine your strategic risk management skills and knowledge. It will also enhance your risk and insurance communication abilities, ensuring your conversations with top management and C-Suits are relevant and impactful.

Who can participate?
This advanced workshop is open to rimap® alumni and risk professionals with a minimum of three years of professional experience. To foster meaningful exchanges among professionals from diverse sectors, participation is limited to 20 individuals. Of these, 15 places are reserved exclusively for holders of the rimap® certification.

Learning outcomes: 

  • Identifying the risk in the value chain, in terms of ERM strategies.
  • Determine strategies to address these risks.
  • Ensure business continuity in value supply chain.
  • Re-balancing sustainability in the value chain.
  • Review risk management practices at operational, tactical and strategic level in the organisation to enhance its long-term resilience.
  • Communicate ways to improve the ERM program and/or avoid/limit future sustainability and supply chain risks and be prepared for unpredicted or under-estimated events.
  • Formulate and communicate these strategies to a board.

Conflict-Positive Organization Certification

The Conflict-Positive Organisation certification aims to verify the Conflict Management Policy of the Organisation.

The Conflict-Positive Organisation certification protocol was born from the need to recognise and give external visibility to virtuous organisational conflict-management policies.

The partnership with LHWC is functional to guarantee the reliability and integrity of its certification processes through the use of innovative technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.

The certification process consists of the following steps:

  • submission of the application and all the documents required by the Regulations
  • verification of the fulfilment of the requirements and documentation by LHWC

Following the verification and analysis of the above, LHWC will issue the certification for the required professional figure and subsequent entry in the Register, which can be consulted on the website.

FERMA RIMAP Certification

The nature of the risk manager profession is highly linked to ever evolving risks and constantly fast- paced changes. Therefore the FERMA rimap certification has been designed as a continuous and dynamic learning path to respond to risk managers’ future educational needs.

The FERMA RIMAP certification is unique because it provides:

  1. an independent confirmation of your professional competences and experience
  2. European standard developed by European risk managers and recognized by FERMA’s 21 risk management member associations
  3. continuous dynamic learning path: earn CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points by participating to FERMA licensed events

The certification process has three stages:

  • request for certification and presentation of the requested documentation
  • verification of the requirements regarding education and professional experience
  • evaluation of the documentation related to the examination process

Following the above analysis, LHWC certifies candidates as described in the FERMA RIMAP Standard and enters them in the Register of Certifications, available on the website.

The certification of FERMA RIMAP Risk Professionals has a duration of three years; the renewal requires evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and that professional requirements are maintained.

REQUIREMENTS

Entry level, for theoretical knowledge in risk management (students or persons with no effective experience in risk management):

  • A passing grade in the RIMAP exam

Professional level, for practical knowledge in risk management with a minimum of 3 years experience in the field:

  • A passing grade in the RIMAP exam
  • 3 years, even if not continuous, in the 5 years preceding the request for certification and / or upgrade

Advanced level, for experienced risk management professionals with a minimum of 10 years experience in the field:

  • A passing grade in the RIMAP exam
  • Evidence of having participated in the FERMA advanced workshop
  • 10 years, even if not continuous, in the 15 years preceding the request for certification and / or upgrade

Risk Management experience includes related fields such as insurance, law, audit / finance, health and safety and business continuity. 1 year of experience represents the equivalent of 12 full-time months.

UPGRADE

In order to upgrade a certification from Academic level to Professional, or from Professional to Advanced level, candidates must provide LHWC/FERMA with objective evidence of employment in risk management for the required period.

For practitioners with a minimum of 3 years of risk management experience:
  • A passing grade in the rimap® exam
  • Evidence of 3 years’ experience (not necessarily continuous) within the past 5 years
Advanced Level:
For experienced risk managers with a minimum of 10 years of experience:
  • A passing grade in the rimap® exam
  • Participation in the FERMA advanced workshop
  • Evidence of 10 years’ experience (not necessarily continuous) within the past 15 years
 
UPGRADE
To upgrade from Entry to Professional or from Professional to Advanced certification, candidates must provide FERMA/LHWC with evidence of relevant work experience in risk management for the required periods.
Risk management experience includes related fields such as insurance, law, audit/finance, health and safety, and business continuity.
One year of experience is equivalent to 12 full-time months.
 
REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
If the preparatory course is cancelled by FERMA/Brokerslink, registrants will have the option of a full reimbursement or attending the course online with other candidates in May.
Personal cancellations will be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis, subject to review.

FERMA Rimap® Preparatory Course is a six-day course plus one exam day offered by FERMA. It aims to help participants prepare for the FERMA Rimap® Risk Management certification.

Preparing for the exam can be taught, especially if you are busy with work and other commitments. This is where the FERMA Rimap® Preparatory Course comes in.

WHEN?

FERMA Rimap® Preparatory Course is a six-day online course plus one exam day:

12 to 14 and 19 to 21 May 2025 (9 am – 1 pm)

29 May Rimap® Exam. You can decide another date to take the Rimap Exam!
