THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!
The FERMA rimap® Preparatory Course is designed to help participants prepare for the FERMA rimap® Risk Management certification through a focused and structured programme.
 
WHEN?
The FERMA rimap® Preparatory Course – Brokerslink is a five-day programme combining online and on-site sessions:
  • Online: 12, 13, and 14 March 2025 (9 am – 1 pm CET)
  • On-site in Budapest: 17 and 18 March 2025 (9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm CET)
Note: The course is exclusively open to attendees of the Brokerslink Europe Meeting and their guests.
 
WHY?
The FERMA rimap® Preparatory Course is focused on the key areas outlined in the Body of Knowledge, providing:
  • Targeted exam preparation
  • Expert guidance and tips from the rimap® Steering Committee
  • Simulation exercises to enhance readiness for the exam
Participants will have access to an online platform featuring:
  • rimap® books
  • Training materials
  • Links for the online classes
  • Access to register for the rimap® exam

  • Preparatory Course Fee: €800 (FERMA members’ fee for attendees of the Brokerslink Europe Meeting and their guests)
  • Exam Fee: €300

WHO?
Open exclusively to attendees of the Brokerslink Europe Meeting and their guests who meet the rimap® certification criteria.
The certification process includes:
  1. Request for certification and submission of required documentation
  2. Verification of education and professional experience
  3. Evaluation of examination performance and documentation
Following the above analysis, LHWC certifies candidates as described in the FERMA rimap® Standard and enters them in the Register of Certifications, available on the website. The certification of FERMA rimap® Risk Professionals has a duration of three years; the renewal requires evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and that professional requirements are maintained.
 
DOCUMENTATION
Candidates must submit:
  • An up-to-date CV
  • Evidence of payment of certification
 
REQUIREMENTS
Entry Level:
For individuals with theoretical knowledge in risk management (students or those without practical experience):
  • A passing grade in the rimap® exam
Professional Level:
For practitioners with a minimum of 3 years of risk management experience:
  • A passing grade in the rimap® exam
  • Evidence of 3 years’ experience (not necessarily continuous) within the past 5 years
Advanced Level:
For experienced risk managers with a minimum of 10 years of experience:
  • A passing grade in the rimap® exam
  • Participation in the FERMA advanced workshop
  • Evidence of 10 years’ experience (not necessarily continuous) within the past 15 years
 
UPGRADE
To upgrade from Entry to Professional or from Professional to Advanced certification, candidates must provide FERMA/LHWC with evidence of relevant work experience in risk management for the required periods.
Risk management experience includes related fields such as insurance, law, audit/finance, health and safety, and business continuity.
One year of experience is equivalent to 12 full-time months.
 
REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
If the preparatory course is cancelled by FERMA/Brokerslink, registrants will have the option of a full reimbursement or attending the course online with other candidates in May.
Personal cancellations will be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis, subject to review.
